GARDEN DESIGN
A typical process to the garden design process works as follows:
Initial consultation by telephone - totally free of charge. Just get in touch to arrange.
Consultation on site (£80 charge at this stage which is deducted if you proceed) - Annie will visit your garden will discuss your 'brief' - in detail. This will include your needs and requirements, likes and dislikes, any garden plans you may already have and whether a full survey might be required by a specialist contractor. If you are solely looking for planting design there will be consideration of maintenance, who uses the garden, desired planting styles, colours, and uses.
Site analysis / Survey - where a full site survey (by outside contractor) is not required Annie can either work with to-scale plans you may already have, or spend some time measuring out key features and dimensions within your garden. She will also consider aspect, topography, sunpath, soil and boundaries/restrictions.
Concept Design - following on from the initial discussions during the consultation and the determination of your requirements, Annie will put together a few initial ideas. This might include rough sketch ideas and concept images which give an idea of the overall feel and 'look book' for the garden.
Detailed Design - the following phase includes:

Drawing up a scaled plan of the whole garden or specific area under consideration

Considering the hard landscape materials to be used and their incorporation into a scaled plan as required

Landscape details required - paving build ups, step details, features including trees or structures.

Planting Design - compilation of a planting palette, schedules and a to-scale plan of the planting layout.

Sourcing - Annie source all the required materials and plants in accordance with the design plans produced.

Overseeing installation - Annie can help source appropriate landscape contractors and gardeners as required and can help oversee the process, including setting out of the hard landscape and garden.
